Adventures on Land - Hunting
There are hunting sites along this side of the island, primarily around the Kealia Forest Reserve. Hunting licenses are mandatory in order to hunt on public, private or military land anywhere in Hawai`i. You can register for a hunting license online at www.hunting.ehawaii.gov/hunting/license.html. If you’re a Hawai`i resident, a license is $20 and that’s good for the fiscal year (July 1-June 30). The main requirement for a hunting license in Hawai`i is a hunter
education card. If you’re a visitor and plan on hunting
while you’re in Hawai`i, make sure that you have your hunter education
card. Once you get that, you can fill out a letter of exemption, which
you can get online at www.hawaii.gov/dlnr/dcre/know.htm.
